IGP Pays d’Oc
Description
Lovely intense ruby red hue with lovely bright highlights.
The nose is powerful and expresses notes of peppermint and ripe red fruit. The wine is fresh and velvety on entry and followed by a lovely roundness on the palate, thanks to the perfectly soft tannins.
Terroir & Winemaking
Clay-limestone and calcareous marl soils planted with old vines from the southern Rhône Valley.
A plot selection is carried out in the vineyards to select the finest grapes. The vinification is traditional with a two-week maceration. Part of the harvest will undergo a hot pre-fermentation maceration. Extraction is carried out gently throughout the controlled fermentation at below 28°C lending this wine its typical smoothness and varietal aromas.
