The wine has a deep colour with golden tints. The complex nose develops notes of ginger, truffle, roasted hazelnuts and citrus. On the palate, the attack is full and round. The aromatic expression reveals an enormous complexity and finesse. The finish is characterised by roasted notes of cocoa beans.
History
This vintage celebrates simple and sincere moments.
From the first vines planted by the Romans to the lavish feasts of the kings of France, wine has always been synonymous with sharing, celebration, and conviviality. Les Grandes Tablées is the warm expression of Château Saint Louis la Perdrix: two sunny and authentic wines, designed to bring people together around a large table
Terroir
Château Saint-Louis La Perdrix is located in the commune of Bellegarde, in the heart of the Camargue, between Nîmes and Arles. It boasts 50 hectares of vines on a single piece of land and 7 hectares of olive trees. Its soil, made up of smooth pebbles, is conducive to a maturation of the grapes on a par with the finest wines in the Rhône Valley.
Winemaking
This great white wine comes from an old plot of Grenache Blanc. The grapes are harvested by hand and placed in crates to keep the grape berries intact. Gentle pressing in whole bunches followed by a temperature-controlled fermentation between 16-18°C. Ageing on its fine lees in new barrels of 100% French origin, with occasional stirring to develop volume on the palate and a toasted finish.
