Beneath its gold-flecked pale-yellow hue lies a complex bouquet of white-fleshed fruits such as peach and apricot complemented by floral notes. The wine is fresh and vibrant on entry to the palate revealing hints of toasted hazelnut and vanilla, followed by a remarkable depth of flavour. Delicate floral notes complete the overall balance, while the long finish leaves lingering impressions of fruity, lightly toasted aromas.
La Bourgade reveals its complexity through a perfect balance of finesse and power. Sandy-clay soils lend a subtle delicacy, while the clay-limestone terroir endows the wine with impressive volume and depth. Planted on stony hillside terraces, the vines bring out the finest expression of each vineyard plot.
A selection of vineyard plots is carried out in order to harvest only the finest grapes. After a gentle pressing in an inert atmosphere, a cold fermentation with selected yeasts brings out the wine’s delicate aromas. The wine is then given a gentle ageing in wood to add volume and complexity.
Ideal as an aperitif and pairs beautifully with grilled fish or roasted scallops
